MORNING MESSAGE

Good morning, LA.

Thirty years ago, The Score came out. This Sunday, Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean will fill the Hollywood Bowl with it.

That's what happens when you build something real. It outlives the moment, the trends and the people who doubted it.

So build like that this week. Make the thing that still sounds right in 2056.

Scottie

B) Sketching upside down

In 1923 he became the first African-American member of the American Institute of Architects. LACMA's show on his work opens Nov 15. Read more →
